PAULA SUTTON
Introducing Paula Sutton
Following the birth of her three children, London-born Paula Sutton transitioned from the fast-paced fashion industry to the quintessential English countryside.
Paula, author of ‘The Potting Shed Murder!’, now dedicates her time to uncovering treasures at auctions, car boot sales, and flea markets, expertly restoring and repurposing them for contemporary use. Through her blog, she provides valuable insights into interior decoration for all budgets, vintage finds, and the charm of English country house inspiration.
“At university, I loved clothes. I was very much into mixing vintage with new. I used to mix up my vintage Dr.Marten boots and black tights with a little sort of colourful Jigsaw skirt. I do remember I had a wonderful pair of tarten Jigsaw shorts, which were my pride and joy. In fact, I think I hooked most of my fellow students into wearing Jigsaw because I came from London.”
“I remember my father gardening when I was younger. I’d love watching him but I would never join in. And he’d always say “One day you’ll enjoy the garden.” And I was like, “No, I will never enjoy getting my hands dirty. It’s never going to happen.” And lo and behold, I’m here getting to know my own garden and getting to know the space and just really enjoying immersing myself in nature.”
