Jigsaw Art Foundation

Supporting British Arts and Culture

The Jigsaw Art Foundation is central to our long-standing connection with British arts and culture. Established as our charitable arm, it champions creative expression across the country and reflects our belief in the value of artistic work. Through active collaborations and sustained support for a wide range of artists and institutions, the Foundation has strengthened the ties between fashion and the arts within our community.

Its UK-based programme funds initiatives and sponsorships that nurture emerging creatives at the beginning of their journeys while also partnering with prominent national organisations. In doing so, the Foundation encourages greater participation in the arts and helps to enrich cultural life throughout the United Kingdom.

Relative Ties

The Jigsaw Art Foundation is proud to support Relative Ties, an exhibition at The Women's Art Collection, Murray Edwards College, Cambridge. Tracing a creative legacy across three generations of women, the exhibit brings together the work of four artists from the Nicholson family: painter Mabel Nicholson, textile designer Nancy Nicholson, artist and designer EQ Nicholson, and textile maker Louisa Creed.

Through paintings, fabrics, prints, interior designs and original working materials, Relative Ties reveals how artistic ideas, skills and influences are shared within families and carried forward over time. Additionally, a new commission by contemporary artist Katie Schwab reflects on connections between generations of women and their shared creative practices.
