Paris, Je T’aime

For the second stop on our SS13 global adventure, we’re jumping on the Eurostar and heading for the city of love and lights, Paris!
Spring is the best time to visit this romantic and artistic hub, a time when a sense of calm overcomes the city. There’s nothing better than sitting in a pavement cafe, watching the world go by. We caught up with chic Parisian, Fashion Blogger and Jewellery Designer, Adeline Rapon for her top tips to eating, drinking and living in this glamorous city.

Where in Paris do you live?
I live in the West suburbs of Paris; it’s a calm pause after working in the crazy speed of Paris.

I love Paris because…
You can look anywhere and find a piece of art – Paris is pure art.

What is your favourite breakfast spot?
In front of my desk, drinking my café Grand Mère, with too much sugar, working on jewels.

What are your Top 3 handbag essentials to get you through a busy Parisian day?
Hand cream, a book, and… endurance. You will climb more stairs here than everywhere in the world!

Where is the best place for dinner in Paris?
I love to eat Japanese food and my favourite place is called Naniwa at 11 Rue Sainte Anne, in the 1st arrondissement. Don’t expect complicated food – its simple, well priced, delicious Japanese food.

What is your favourite season in Paris and why?
Spring! The weather is cool, the sun shines and everyone seems joyful – it’s a very calm season.

Where is the best place to sleep?
At home! Oh and at the hotel Amour on Rue Navarin in the 9th arrondissement, it’s very romantic!

What is your Parisian soundtrack/song of the year?
Je Bois et Puis je Danse – Aline. A song about a guy trying to chat up a girl in a club, but fails, and drinks too much. I don’t know why, but in my head, the story takes place at Le Régine on Rue de Ponthieu.

Where is your favourite place to shop and why?
On the boulevard Haussmann, you can find absolutely anything you need here!

Where will you find the best view in the city?
On the top of the Eiffel Tower… Cliché, but true.
