The Little Black Dress. The cream of the crop of evening wear. The one piece you can rely on to exude style with no fuss.
A god-send to wardrobes, yes. But for the Christmas party season, it has almost become cliché. Avoid blending into the Little Black Dress background with beautiful alternatives from our Autumn Winter 16 collection…
Nothing says style like a well-tailored suit. Taking inspiration from model and editorial muse Guinevere Van Seenus, this season our design team has created a tuxedo to turn heads. Woven from Italian stretch wool, the jacket and trousers create a stunning sculptural shape.
The Trousers: A slim fit to elongate the leg, they have a contrast satin on the outer leg seam, complemented by a side split on the hem.
The Jacket: Also cut for a slim fit with dinner jacket detailing. The sharp seam on the waist accentuates the figure while the matt and shine spot, jacquard lining mirrors the external feel.
Add a feminine touch with a silk V-neck blouse and a statement clutch to finish.
The Knitted Duo
I know what you’re thinking. You can’t wear knitwear to a Christmas party. But you can when it looks this good. This sparkly pair features hints of alpaca and wool, and with the right shoes it’s a party season pleaser.
The Top: A tank shape, it has a grown-on neckline (design speak for high neck), and the slim fit complements the skirt.
The Skirt: A contemporary spin on a classic piece, this midi skirt has a centrefront split and its slim fit skims the body. Wear with a heeled boot and carry a plain clutch; no more sparkle is necessary.
The Perfect Print
Don beautiful prints to stand out from the crowd. It’s the easiest way to make a statement and you won’t be twinning with anyone else in the office. This season we have collaborated with analogue photographer Antonio Curcetti, by blending his original images of Kew Gardens with our in house artist’s hand painted techniques.
The Dress: A 100% silk design, it has a soft drape and a relaxed fit. The V-neckline lends a feminine feel.
