We are looking for a Group Tax Manager to work closely with the Head of Finance and the Chairman. The Group Tax Manager will take responsibility for the compliance of the Group’s UK corporation tax obligations and strategic tax planning. This role requires flexibility, working at least 3 days per week, but maybe more by negotiation. It is intended that the role may broaden over time to include some Company Secretarial duties and/or Trustee duties of Jigsaw’s Beneficial (charitable) Trust and the JGR Pension Scheme.

Successful candidates will have a real interest in Fashion and may even be working within a retail environment already. Above all we need someone who is great at what they do and who can work well as part of a vibrant team to achieve all deadlines.

  • Managing compliance of the Group’s UK corporation tax obligations (e.g. review and signing of tax returns, quarterly instalment payments, dealing promptly and effectively with HMRC enquiries).
  • Strategic tax planning for the group. Identifying and implementing planning opportunities that minimise the group’s tax liabilities.
  • Ensuring robust processes and controls are maintained in respect of UK tax compliance.
  • Managing the Group’s tax financial reporting obligations.
  • Monitoring and managing tax risks.
  • Providing practical and timely advice on the tax impact of specific business transactions.
  • Liaison with HMRC across all taxes with regards to compliance and areas of uncertainty to ensure the most efficient tax treatment (corporate tax, VAT, employment taxes, SDLT).
  • To support the Chairman by acting as Company Secretary for Robinson Webster (Holdings) Limited, RWH (Bluebird) Limited and other subsidiaries if required.

  • Be a qualified accountant with significant PQE experience

HQ102 Menswear BAA

We are currently looking for a Buy Admin Assistant to join our Menswear team. This role will provide administration support to the Buying function by managing the purchase order system, critical path and product management and storage. The role largely focuses on setting up styles within Dynamics, ensuring product information, tickets and prices are correct.

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in buying as well as previous hands on buying and/or retail experience. You should have strong analytical, numerical and IT skills as well as exceptional team working skills. The candidate must be highly organised and have the ability to prioritise.

  • Create product style numbers with all attribute information and bar codes.
  • Scan sketches into dynamics.
  • Send Purchase Orders and tickets to suppliers.
  • To order in good time any additional samples required for meetings such as best sellers, stock to store, swots, range reviews, rack-ups and retail presentations where the entire range is to be represented.
  • Manage press sample ordering and handover liaising with press. Ensuring that all samples/hero pieces are ready for handover deadlines. To be able to suggest sub samples where correct samples unavailable and to escalate any issues to PD.
  • To take ownership over preparation for meetings as directed by PD (pressing, correct hangers, sub samples/sketches/swatches etc).
  • Dynamics management – to process all of departments purchase orders, product set-up, suppler set-up, emailing PO’s and housekeeping. To obtain PD’s sign off for PO’s in good time for ordering of epos and emailing PO’s.
  • To file, store and be responsible for the whereabouts of all buying boards.
  • Sending of packaging instructions and manuals to new suppliers.
  • Manages courier parcels, sending and receipt.

We are looking for a Menswear Designer to support the Design Director across all areas of Jigsaw Menswear.

  • Contribute to research for the theme, fabric and colour for the collection in its entirety at the start of the season.
  • Support the Design Director as required across all areas of the collection in order to help team meet critical deadlines.
  • Support with general development of the collection – involved with the design team decisions making processes in the build-up of the collection.
  • General sample movement, chasing factories, racking up garments for meetings.
  • On hand to assist with any tasks as delegated by Design Director.
  • To work on special projects brand collaborations as required in a tight team.
  • May be asked to contribute ideas for other areas and assist in compilation of tech packs for these areas in order to meet critical path deadlines.
  • Trips to fairs and suppliers for seasonal sourcing of fabrics and garments.
  • Ongoing research and design essential: to be balanced alongside daily Design tasks: Continual awareness of key competitors; of their product offering and price points highlighting opportunities to the Design Director.
  • Up to date with Jigsaw Menswear brand best and worst sellers and overall brand season-to-date performance so that new season designs immediately take into account any overriding customer feedback, business opportunities and risks. Participate in discussions as to how we can constantly drive the brand forward and improve our offering.
  • Work with Design Director on collection to source fabrics, yarns and new stiches, and to design and compile the technical packs.
  • Follow through developments with the suppliers.
  • Be present in all fittings of collection.
  • Work closely with the garment technologist to establish a consistent commercial fit for menswear knitwear. Garments to be fit for their purpose and on brand.
  • Responsible for informing the design director of any major concerns at the time of fitting.
  • Assist product developer to ensure all knitwear and jersey samples are on time.
