As a blogger I’m always asked the question ‘what item could you not live without’ and regardless of season or current trends my answer remains the same: a leather biker jacket. The leather biker has been a staple in my wardrobe for the last 15 years and I’m sure it will be a permanent fixture for many years to come. It’s a piece which I firmly believe is worth investing in and when I saw this premium biker for the first time, well, it was love at first sight.
There are a few features that I look for when it comes to upgrading my leather jacket and this one ticks all those boxes. The quality of the leather is always the first thing I have to scrutinise, because a biker is really going to get a good run for its money with me so it needs to be tough enough to stand the test of time and wear. The leather on this jacket is nothing short of perfect, it’s thick and durable without being stiff. One of my biggest pet peeves is thin leather on a biker jacket; sorry, it’s just not practical. I love the structure of this jacket, I can tell it won’t ever lose its shape and that’s a big bonus for me.
A biker jacket is timeless, ok not in a chic and sophisticated way, but I’m a modern woman with a modern life and I need pieces which fit in with that. The versatility of this jacket far surpasses any other piece that I own and I could create endless outfits with it. That’s the beauty of a biker, it goes with absolutely everything from denim to a feminine slip dress.
In this look I wanted to go for a casual but cool vibe, the kind of outfit which is perfect for everyday wear. I’ve tucked a basic T-shirt into these tailored wide leg trousers and layered the biker over the top; this is very much a go-to combo of mine. For daytime wear I pair with some trainers but for night the outfit works equally as well with some pointed court shoes. The mixture of tailoring, basics and the biker jacket create an effortless yet put together look which anyone can pull off.
Premium leather biker jacket.
